New Citrus Hills Map: Explore the 15 Villages of Citrus Hills, Florida

If you’ve ever tried to understand the layout of the Villages of Citrus Hills, you know it can be confusing. Citrus Hills isn’t one single neighborhood. It is a collection of distinct villages spread throughout the Hernando area of Citrus County, Florida, and the community has continued to grow and change over the years.
That’s why I created a new map of the 15 Villages of Citrus Hills.

Why I Created a New Citrus Hills Map
Many of the Citrus Hills maps available online were created years ago. While they can still be useful for identifying roads and established neighborhoods, they don’t always reflect Citrus Hills as it exists today.
One of the biggest changes is Davis Reserve, the newest addition to the Villages of Citrus Hills.
My goal with this new map was to make it easier for prospective buyers to understand how the 15 villages of Citrus Hills fit together, where they are located in relation to the major roads, and how close they are to shopping, dining and other conveniences.
What Are the 15 Villages of Citrus Hills?
One thing I tell prospective buyers is that choosing a home in Citrus Hills isn’t just about choosing a house. Choosing the right village can be just as important.
The villages can differ considerably in home styles, lot sizes, HOA fees, gated access, maintenance options and proximity to the Citrus Hills amenities.

Some villages offer larger homes and lots, while others appeal to buyers looking for a more maintenance-free lifestyle. Terra Vista provides a very different living experience from many of the original Citrus Hills neighborhoods, and Davis Reserve provides another option for buyers interested in new construction.

Where Is Terra Vista?
One reason I especially wanted an updated Citrus Hills map was to make the relationship between Terra Vista, Brentwood and the rest of Citrus Hills easier to understand.
Terra Vista is located south of Norvell Bryant Highway (CR 486) and is the premier gated community within the Villages of Citrus Hills.
It is also home to many of the amenities that make the Citrus Hills lifestyle so distinctive, including Skyview Golf Course, Skyview Restaurant, the Bella Vita Spa & Fitness Center and the Terra Vista Activity Center.
Terra Vista is almost a community within a community. It contains numerous individual neighborhoods of its own, including Bobbie Glen, Woodview, Roberts Ridge, The Hamptons, Foxfire, Bellamy Ridge and others.
Trying to show all of those individual neighborhoods on the main Citrus Hills map would make it much too crowded, so I created a separate map just for Terra Vista.
Where Is Davis Reserve?
Davis Reserve is the newest village within Citrus Hills and is located along the CR 486 corridor near Brentwood.
Its addition is one of the main reasons I felt it was time for an updated Citrus Hills map.
For buyers interested in building a new home, Davis Reserve adds another option to the Citrus Hills real estate market. Citrus Hills is a semi-custom home builder, allowing buyers to personalize their homes with upgraded finishes, features and additions rather than being limited to a completely predetermined home.

Shopping and Dining Near Citrus Hills
Another thing that has changed considerably is the area surrounding Citrus Hills.
The CR 486 corridor has continued to develop, making everyday shopping and dining increasingly convenient for Citrus Hills residents. That’s why I included some of the nearby shopping and dining locations on my new map.
Along the CR 486 corridor you’ll find convenient access to stores and restaurants including Target, Aldi, Texas Roadhouse, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Panda Express, Skechers and Glory Days Grill.
Heading toward Inverness along Highway 44, residents also have convenient access to Lowe’s, Olive Garden and Walmart.
For someone unfamiliar with the area, seeing these locations on the map provides a much better sense of how the villages relate not only to one another, but also to the conveniences residents use every day.
What Is the Lifestyle Like in Citrus Hills?
A map can show you where everything is, but it can’t really show you what it is like to live here.
That distinction is important.
The lifestyle at Citrus Hills is very different from many other 55+ communities in Central Florida. The facilities are beautiful, and the community offers an extensive collection of golf, fitness, spa, dining, entertainment and social amenities.
But this is one community that I strongly believe you need to experience in person.
You can look at photographs, study maps and compare amenities online, but that doesn’t replace driving through the different villages, visiting the club facilities, seeing the homes and experiencing the atmosphere of the community for yourself.
Which Citrus Hills Village Is Right for You?
This is where the map is only the beginning.
Two Citrus Hills villages that appear close together geographically can offer very different choices when it comes to homes, lot sizes, fees, gated access and maintenance.
Someone looking for an estate home on a larger lot may ultimately choose a very different part of Citrus Hills than someone who wants a smaller home with exterior maintenance included.
